Adolescence Therapy

When working with adolescents, there are a variety of things that are going on in their lives. Some of the obstacles and question that many struggle with include:

1. Fear of failing

2. Acceptance or rejection

3. Motivation

4. Self-worth

I work with adolescents by taking a more mentor-like role. This role creates and models a very different relationship than that of a parent or teacher. This relationship offers a path to understanding for the adolescent as a person, and contributes to the development of their future self.  It provides a different mirror for them to develop the introspection skills that can get lost or distorted at this stage of development.
